Do we use cookies?

Yes, but minimally. YieldIQ uses a small number of cookies that are necessary to make the service work, plus optional analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

What cookies do we set?

Do you need our consent?

Under UK GDPR and PECR:

• The authentication cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not require consent.
• The PostHog analytics cookie is not strictly necessary. We rely on legitimate interests for this, given the data is anonymised and does not identify individual users. If you wish to opt out, you can do so by disabling cookies in your browser settings.

Because we only use one non-essential cookie (which is anonymised analytics), we have taken the position that a full cookie consent banner is not required. If our cookie usage changes, we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism if needed.

localStorage

We also use your browser's localStorage (not a cookie) to temporarily cache leaderboard and recent search data. This is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers. It is cleared when you clear your browser data.

How to manage cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings:

Note that deleting the yieldiq_token cookie will log you out of YieldIQ.

To opt out of PostHog analytics

You can opt out of PostHog tracking by visiting posthog.com/privacy or by blocking the domain us.i.posthog.com in your browser or ad blocker.
